It’s Time To Get Serious… For Real This Time

We’re 50 days into 2013.

That’s roughly 13.5% of the year.

Gone.

Never to return.

It’s time to make a decision.

For real this time.

Are you ready to take action?

Are you serious about becoming a successful affiliate marketer?

Forgive me for ranting about this.

Perhaps you’re already successful?

If so, that’s awesome!

We need more successful affiliates in the world.

But if you’re still struggling… it doesn’t have to be that way.

Just make a decision to be successful.

That’s a good start, isn’t it?

Happy President’s Day! Today May Be A Holiday, But It’s Still A Weekday…

You’ve probably noticed something about this blog.

I usually update it every day of the week.

Then on weekends, I’m nowhere to be found.

Today may be a holiday, but it’s still a weekday.

Therefore, this short update.

Have you established an affiliate marketing goal yet?

Do you have a daily “to-do” list of things you should be working on?

Have you considered creating a “do-not-do” list of things to avoid?

Today may be a holiday, but tomorrow is not.

It’s time to get to work.

Time Can Often Go By Quickly… It’s Already The End Of The Week!

Whoa… it’s already Friday.

Time can often go by quickly.

Are we making the most of it?

Of what? Time… the time we have.

Affiliate marketing is an awesome industry.

It allows people to make money without having to work a full-time job.

You know what that means, right?

If you don’t have to spend 40 hours a week trapped in an office to generate a comparable (or superior) income, you can then spend the rest of the time having fun.

Speaking of having fun, the weekend is upon us.

Are you planning to step out from behind the computer?

I hope so.

It’s not healthy to spend hours working.

You need to schedule time for rest and relaxation.

I hope you have you a great weekend!

Happy Valentine’s Day! Do You Take Advantage Of Holidays To Promote Suitable Affiliate Offers?

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Let me ask you something…

Do you take advantage of holiday’s to promote suitable affiliate offers?

If not, why not?

You can’t go wrong cashing in on what everyone is thinking about.

That’s not to say you should mindlessly chase holiday promotions as a full-time affiliate marketing strategy.

However, the potential exists to generate some useful income if you structure your promotional calendar to include relevant holidays.

Does that make sense? I’m not sure if I explained myself clearly.

Anyway, I hope you have a lovely (and profitable!) Valentine’s Day!

See you again tomorrow.

Do You Sometimes Feel Alone When You Work On Your Affiliate Marketing Campaigns?

People often feel a bit alone and isolated when they work on their affiliate marketing campaigns.

The reason why is because affiliate marketing, as a whole, tends to be a solo endeavor. While it’s not unusual for some people to work as part of a small team, it’s not very common. Even if you were working at a major company, your job is going to revolve around sitting in front of a computer and testing campaigns. It’s not a very social activity.

Here’s why I’m bringing this up.

To the extent you feel a bit isolated and alone, as cheesy as it may sound, you’re *NOT* alone. You are, but what I mean is that a lot of other affiliate marketers find themselves in the same situation.

You may want to consider structuring your day so that you get a chance to get out and be around other people. That’s often a really good way to help ensure that you don’t succumb to feeling of loneliness and isolation.

You know what’s funny though?

Most people who want to escape the so-called “corporate rat race” love the idea of working alone.

And you know something?

It’s pretty cool to be able to set your own hours and not have co-workers or a boss looking over your shoulder.

On the other hand, affiliate marketing can be a bit isolating as we’ve just discussed.

But it doesn’t have to be that way!

Strike a balance between work and being outside and you’ll find that affiliate marketing is one of the best businesses to be in.

Alright, that’s all for now, I’ll see you back here again tomorrow.

You Only Need 4th Grade Math To Keep Score As An Affiliate Marketer

Ahhh… the gold ole’ days of 4th grade math.

What am I talking about?

Addition. Subtraction. Multiplication. Division.

You only need this type of simple math to keep score as an affiliate marketer. But that’s not all, it gets even better.

You don’t have to do *ANY* of this math in your head.

Use a calculator!

Stop and think about it for a moment.

Does affiliate marketing requite math that’s any more complicated than what I’ve just described?

No, not really.

Here’s the bottom line: aspiring affiliate marketers have a tendency to want to over-complicate things. Why?! I don’t know.

But when it comes to keeping score and tracking your progress as an affiliate marketer, 4th grade math skills are all you need.

Monday Morning Quiz… Do You Know Where Your Affiliate Marketing Business Is Going?

Do you sometimes find yourself wondering where your affiliate marketing business is going?

Maybe you spend countless hours in front of the computer “working” but don’t really feel as though you have a clear sense of direction.

On the other hand, maybe you know that you don’t really spend enough time doing the things that you need to do to build a sustainable long-term business.

Monday morning isn’t the ideal time to engage in this type of soul searching, but if you’re not really sure in which direction your affiliate marketing business is going, then now is the perfect time to try and make sense of it all.

There are far too many people in this industry who are drifting sideways and not making much forward progress.

One reason why is because people aren’t sure what they should be doing, or how they can make good money with affiliate marketing.

Write down a goal. How much money do you want to make?

Then create a to-do list filled with things that will help move you closer to reaching your goal.

Bonus points if you also compile a short “DO NOT DO” list — things that you shouldn’t be doing because they’re distracting or otherwise meaningless when it comes to helping you achieve your goals.

Finally, get an accountability partner.

That’s someone who can occasionally “look over your shoulder” to make sure you’re following through and doing what you said you were going to do.

Do you know where your affiliate marketing business is going?

If not, take a moment this morning to figure it out.

You’ll be glad you did!

How Much Money Are You Making As An Affiliate Marketer?

Happy Friday!

I hope you have some fun and exciting plans for the weekend.

But right now, I want you to focus on your affiliate marketing business.

I’ve got an important question to ask you.

You can answer it honestly, as nobody will hear your reply.

How much money are you making as an affiliate marketer?

Write down the amount.

Are you happy with that level of income?

If not, what are you going to do to change the situation?

That’s something to think about over the weekend.

BUT… also make sure you schedule some time for rest and relaxation!

Have a great weekend, and I’ll see you back here again tomorrow!

As hard as it might be to believe, there are STILL people out there who question whether or not affiliate marketing has the potential to be profitable.

The simple fact of the matter is that affiliate marketing can be an extremely lucrative business venture for those who are willing to invest the time and money necessary to learn how it all works.

Why do we often want to be successful without realize that there is often a price (measured in both time and money) that needs to be paid? There are no shortcuts in this or any business.

You owe it to yourself to become a successful affiliate marketer. That means treating affiliate marketing like a business and doing whatever it takes to learn how to turn a consistent profit in this industry.

Knowing Your Numbers Can Mean The Difference Between Turning A Profit Or Being Hit With A Loss

Not long ago I was speaking to someone who has been playing the affiliate marketing game for years.

This individual said something that really struck me as being noteworthy.

He said: “You’ve got to know your numbers. It can mean the difference between turning a profit and being hit with a loss.”

That’s really sound advice, and it makes sense, too.

Are you tracking your income and expenses?

Affiliate marketers often fall into the trap of treating this business like a hobby.

Now is the time to get serious and start treating it like a real business.

If you don’t know what your numbers are, now is the time to find out and get serious about what you’re doing.
